Yllka Gashi (born August 30, 1982) is an Albanian actress from Kosovo, currently living in New York City, US. Gaining the role of Hamlet’s Ophelia on her first ever audition in 1999, Yllka spent three years touring with the acclaimed cast. She continued to dazzle Albanian audiences throughout the 2000s, starring as the lovable Zana in over 300 episodes of hit TV series Familja moderne. Today, Yllka remains a massively celebrated actress in her homeland, having starred in numerous award winning productions for stage and screen. As a onetime refugee, she has served as both a UNICEF Ambassador and a Save The Children Artist Ambassador.
