Scheduled opposite NBC's Unsolved Mysteries and ABC's Growing Pains on Wednesdays, Hard Time on Planet Earth ranked 65th out of 81 programs upon its premiere. Ratings for the series never improved and the series was canceled by CBS in May 1989. The last episode aired on June 21, 1989.

Results of the war are that mutants have evolved, and the human race is in danger of extinction due to infertility. Hell is given the task of helping in the rescue of a group of fertile women from the harem of the mutant leader (resembling a frog). Hell cannot escape since he has a bomb attached to his private parts which will detonate if he strays more than a few hundred yards from his guard.
Sandahl Bergman is an American actress and dancer. She was born November 14, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri. She moved to New York City while she was in her 20's, and appeared in a number of Bob Fosse productions. Her film debut was in his film All That Jazz (1979). She is best known for her role as Valeria in the film Conan the Barbarian, for which she won a Golden Globe and a Saturn Award.
