A middle-aged man dissatisfied with the present state of things finds himself in a parallel universe where all technology is stuck in the 1990s.

Intentioned to build a reputation as a drama director - and shedding the label of television entertainer for the little ones - he directs a movie about drug addiction and life in the suburbs, but the audience doesn't take him seriously.
