Cheryl Chou was born and raised in Singapore until she was eight years old. She then moved to China with her parents where she lived for ten years. In 2016, Cheryl was crowned Miss Universe Singapore and was given the opportunity to represent Singapore in the finals held in Manila, Philippines, in January 2017, during her reign as Miss Universe Singapore 2016, she became the brand ambassador of Beaute Hub (Facial and Slimming Wellness Center) and PHS Hair Science (Scalp Treatment Center). Cheryl is also an advocate for living an active and healthy lifestyle. She trains six times a week, mainly doing HIIT workouts and live on a predominately plant-based diet. She was trained for cinematic kung-fu with Hong Kong based martial arts trainer and choreographer, Chris Collins. She also partakes in Muay Thai classes as part of her fitness regimen. In 2018, Cheryl landed her first major supporting role on Mediacorp TV Singapore’s Channel 8 drama, 29th February (229明天見), alongside with Aloysious Pang. In 2019, Cheryl nailed the role of Girly Danker in the TV adaption of Dick Lee’s musical “Fried Rice Paradise”, broadcasted on MediaCorp TV Singapore Channel 5. She also nailed her first main female lead role in a Channel 5 drama, Love By Numbers. Aside from acting, Cheryl is also an experience emcee. She has hosted events for brands including Lancome, Armani Beauty, Fenty Beauty and Puma.
